My Stay in Budapest: Between Relaxation, Sightseeing, and Reunions by Mylord
Since my last blog post, I have to admit I haven’t done anything particularly exciting. No new big trips or major discoveries… but I still have a few nice moments to share. Most notably, I went back to get a massage at a salon. And this time, unlike the last slightly awkward experience, everything went really well. Honestly, it felt great to walk out completely relaxed, without any weird vibes. Sometimes it really is worth giving things a second chance!
Another highlight of the past few days: a friend came to visit me for the weekend in Budapest. It was so nice to see someone familiar—it brought a refreshing change to my daily routine. During her stay, I played the role of impromptu tour guide. We visited the Hungarian Parliament, one of the city’s must-see landmarks. I had never been inside before, and honestly, it lives up to the hype—majestic, full of history, and seriously photogenic.
We also stopped by a nearby shopping mall. Nothing too fancy, but it was the perfect excuse to stroll around, chat over coffee, and do a bit of unnecessary (but satisfying) shopping. Just the joy of sharing a simple moment together.
Even though this period has been pretty chill, I’m still enjoying Budapest at my own pace. This city has a way of surprising you even in the smallest moments: a street you’ve never walked down before, a building you see from a new angle, or a quiet moment by the Danube.
So, no epic adventures this time, but a few meaningful snapshots. And honestly, that’s also what living abroad is about—taking your time, enjoying the little things, and creating memories… even in the simplest ways.
