New from April by Thomas
My last article finished with the Hungarian demonstration against the Prime Minister. Since that article, we’ve had demonstrations here every week. Last time, the protesters blocked 3 bridges between the Buda and Pest sides. And also the gay pride took place in budapest even if that had been banned by Viktor Orban
Last time, I tried goulash it’s a typical Hungarian dish. It’s a meat soup with beef, onions, paprika (because paprika is everywhere here you can even find it in fries), and a mix of vegetables like carrots and potatoes. I had the goulash in a restaurant for 2999 forints (around 7.5€) and it was very good. I think I’ll have another one!
Also, I visited the Fisherman’s Bastion with the Matthias Church. It was a really nice place, but the area is under renovation and we saw a lot of construction vehicles and barriers. But the view over Budapest was amazing!
Another disappointment was the Gellért Hill Citadella we reached the top of Gellért Hill for nothing because the location was closed. But the view from there was amazing too, thanks to how flat Budapest was constructed.
I also took the time to take pictures around the city, and a lot of these pictures deserve to be used in everyone’s articles on the blog. For example, all the bridge pictures in Malo’s article are from my camera! I really enjoy visiting and getting lost in Budapest with my camera.
Future plan:
When I’m writing this article, next weekend we should visit Vienna it’s 2 hours from Budapest and it’s cheap to get there. We’re staying in Vienna for 4 days to visit and discover the city. We also plan to visit the inside of the Parliament in Budapest because we just learn its cheap for student, this is the wrong point of Budapest lot of historical place are expensive to visit its 30€ if you are not student for the parliament.
