An Ever-Richer Stay in Budapest by Mylord
Since my last post, quite a bit more has happened than usual. Budapest keeps amazing me, and this time I decided to see the city from a new perspective… aboard the Big Bus Budapest. This sightseeing tour took us around some of the most iconic landmarks in the city, including St. Stephen’s Basilica, the Dohány Street Synagogue, Heroes' Square, and Castle Garden. There were a total of 20 stops, each one more spectacular than the last. I also took the opportunity to snap some beautiful photos.
After the bus tour, I enjoyed a short cruise on the Danube, giving me a stunning view of the Hungarian Parliament building from the water — a completely different, almost magical perspective.
Not satisfied with just a quick look from the bus, I decided to revisit some of the places on foot to take my time and really soak in the atmosphere. Walking through the streets of Budapest really lets you feel the spirit of the city.
Social life has been vibrant too. I went clubbing with all my classmates from ESAIP — it was a really fun night. The following Friday, a few of us tried our luck at the casino. We each arrived with about five euros and, surprisingly, left with at least thirty euros in profit! What’s even crazier is that we spent nearly six hours inside without realizing it, walking out at 6 a.m. after entering at midnight…
As for student life in Budapest, I’d say some subjects are pretty accessible and easy for everyone to understand. Others, however, are a real challenge and cause quite a bit of trouble for all of us. Still, it’s all part of the experience and we’re learning a lot.
All in all, Budapest keeps surprising me and giving me new memories week after week!
